Hello all and welcome back to another edition of Monday Morning Monocle. A Playlist. You know it’s a Monday when you log onto The Swill Merchants and see the neon disaster that lies below. There is no better way to know it’s a Monday. Ask science.

Today’s playlist is a metamorphosis. We start with a positive take on the world through the musical stylings of Bill Withers and his “Lovely Day.” Then we slowly creep into “Can’t You Wait” by Geographer, and get angsty into “No Love” by Hooray for Earth. Finally we’re upset and just need to commit murder in the 1st degree with “Someone Has to Die” by Maritime. We complete our journey with a new found acceptance chanting “We are a mess!/We are failures!/And we love it!” This is quite possibly my favorite song at the moment, “Glockenspiel Song” by last weeks featured band Dog is Dead.

Or it’s just a simple playlist. Whatever you want to take from it. It’s all contrived anyways.
