Dirty Projectors are gearing up to release an album this July, and guess what? I’m excited. 2009’s Bitte Orca was a good album, despite me not being as in love with them as the rest of the world seemed to become overnight, they eventually grew on me in a big way. I’m very much anticipating this year’s Swing Lo Magellan.

Their first single from their upcoming July release, “Gun Has No Trigger,” bore similarity to me to “Temecula Sunrise,” in that same off-putting, catchy, eventually grows on you style this band seems to embrace.

“Dance For You” is a much less abrasive song, and one that I like very much. Plus, it has hand clapping. What’s not to love.
