Michael Kiwanuka is stopping by the Troubadour tonight in support of his 2012 album, Home Again, which garnered him a lot of buzz last winter as he joined the BBC Sound of 2012 list.

Adding soulful vocals to a classic sound, Kiwanuka’s music is reminiscent of an older time: specifically, the time of people like Bill Withers and even Van Morrison. His album is a breath of fresh air in the current music landscape, and I’m glad to see he’s starting to get the credit and attention he deserves.

Kiwanuka’s show tonight is sold out, but be sure to check out his website (below) for upcoming tour dates.
